Joining Kindred Hearts with a Cup of Friendship
Fine artist, Sandy Lynam Clough, welcomes you into her Tea Society with her charming artwork. Her books, Sandy's Tea Society – Delighting in Friendships Steeped in Love and the sequel, When Friends Gather for Tea – Pouring Out Love with Tea and Kindness provided the foundation for this exquisite fabric collection. The overall theme of tea and roses is represented in the panel print and throughout the entire collection. The panel includes images of three of Sandy's table settings featuring beautiful china tableware. Use these 12" x 16" images to create a set of wall banners to add an elegant accent to a dining room or anywhere you'd like to provide a genteel touch. The images would also make lovely covers for the backs of dining or kitchen chairs.
A large variety of teacups are set inside 3" framed squares to create a charming patch print. Sold as running yardage, you'll find lots of uses for these sweet, little squares! Not only does their size work well as centers of quilt blocks, you'll be able to use to make lovely table accents. Cut a set of four to make pot holders. Back these squares with a coordinate print and insert lace or eyelet trim around the outer edges. Use the same technique using a 3 x 4 section of squares to make coordinating placemats. Another idea would be to cut two rows of squares across the width of the fabric. Then, cut a 12 1/2" strip of a coordinate print (try the small rosebud print or black damask). Sew one strip of squares to each long edge of the print. Add thin batting, quilt and use the black dot for binding. Quick & easy table runner but so pretty!
