Amy Barickman

Amy Barickman, founder and owner of Indygo Junction, Inc., and sister company, The Vintage Workshop, grew up in the retail crafting business. She started Indygo Junction in 1990 and has since represented the talents of more than 25 designers and leading artists in the quilt and clothing pattern craft industry. Amy has always anticipated popular styles and set new trends by seeking new designers and guiding them to create with unique and innovative materials.

This is the guiding principle that helped her develop The Vintage Workshop in 2002. She wanted to integrate the timeless beauty of vintage artwork with the remarkable ability of the computer and inkjet printable materials to create a wide variety of projects. Amy
has now expanded The Vintage Workshop’s licensed art to fabrics and scrapbook papers
to complement her Click-n-Craft CD-ROMs, and the book and pattern designs by
Indygo Junction.

Amy was selected as one of nine Women Entrepreneur Honorees by Country Living Magazine and featured in their March 2007 issue. Her books and patterns are frequently reviewed in magazines such as Threads and Cloth Paper Scissors. Her new book, Button Ware, features 33 projects for creating fashionable jewelry and embellishments with buttons offered by JHB International.
