Jill KempJill has been quilting since her college days at Bowling Green State University. Her first quilt was a Cathedral Window, which she made by hand, and never completely finished because it got too heavy! In the 1980s, she started designing her own patterns and produced her first pattern to sell in 1987. Jill is known for designing traditional patterns with a primitive touch. Her work and her charming home have been featured in several magazines. She has published 15 books and more than 100 patterns. Jill has been designing fabric collections for Red Rooster since our founding in 2002.
Garden Fantasy, Jill’s most recent line, is a collection featuring posies and trailing vines in the relaxed, traditional floral style that is her trademark. Her earlier collections include Garden Glory, Rooster Hill Farm, Country Store Basics I and II, Joy’s Florals, Gentle Christmas, Remember Me, Sweet Pea, It’s the Berries, and Twinkle Little Star.
