Baby's Childhood Days
by Amy Barickman

Images from an early 1920's baby book were used to create the fabric panel that is used to make both the quilt and nursery organizer. A soft shirting stripe is used as a frame for the center of the quilt that uses the focal part of the panel. Yellow, pink and blue micro-checks are used for the patchwork border and appliquéd border blocks. A delicate, floral print forms the outer border to complete this sweet baby quilt that measures 35" x 40". Appliquéd letters combine fusible web and machine stitching to make the project extra quick and easy!

The remaining rectangular toile blocks in the panel are used to create the pockets for this fun-to-make nursery organizer. Pockets are constructed by fusing backing to motif rectangles and then satin stitching the edges to organizer. Yellow and green micro-checks are used to make the patchwork border and hanging tabs. Perfect to hold all of those necessary items for baby!
