This striking quilt was designed by Carrie-Along-Quilts to support their inaugural fabric collection with Red Rooster. The on-point medallion setting of this quilt is used perfectly to highlight the snowy splendor of the scenic theme print. A delicately tossed woodland coordinate shares the same light blue background color with the scenic print and helps to create a strong center diamond design. Separate areas of the thematic repeating stripe are used creatively in two sections of the quilt. The strong box frame is created by used by centering a wide strip of the ticking stripe between two narrow strips of the dark green tonal print.
The large sections of this quilt make it ideal for using overall, gently-curved machine quilting. If you prefer something more intricate, consider outline quilting the motifs in the scenic print. Then, you can straight-stitch perpendicular to the inner check frame sewing towards the outside of the light blue setting triangles. The dark blue snowmen print in the corners can also be easily outline quilted for additional emphasis.
