Kelly Mueller designed both the fabric and this charming quilt!  Panel blocks featuring woodland “quilters” alternate with pieced pine tree, log cabin and star blocks to create a warm and snuggly lap quilt.  Deep, rich colors set the tone while light coordinates provide the perfect punch!  The quilt may look a bit complicated but anyone with basic quilting skills will be successful with this design.  There are five rows and each row contains four easy-to-construct blocks.  A postage-stamp inner border is a nice touch and adds a lovely frame around the inner area.

 
If you are new to machine quilting, this is a perfect design on which to try your skills!  Stitch in-the-ditch around the sections of the pieced blocks and freehand/outline quilt around the motifs in the panel blocks.  If you prefer to have the quilt machine quilted on a long-arm machine, a large leaf or “pine needle” design would look lovely.

The quilt measures 54” x 72” and would work perfectly as a sofa quilt in your den or cabin!
