Ricky designed both the fabric collection and this stunning For machine appliqué you'll need freezer paper or template plastic and fusible web for tracing and fusing the two appliqué designs. You'll also need stabilizer for the raw-edge machine appliqué to ensure smooth and beautiful stitches. Ricky outlined the appliqué designs with a blanket or double blanket stitch and contrasting thread to provide highlights and texture to the finished quilt. Assemble the pieced and appliquéd blocks in five horizontal rows of five blocks each, following the quilt diagram carefully so that all the blocks are oriented correctly before stitching.
