This dazzling 60" quilt was designed by Laura Blanchard. Equally stunning as a large wall quilt or sofa quilt, the graphic design keeps your eye moving! Several different illusions (just squint your eyes to see them!) are created by the alternating 9" starburst and “X” blocks. Isolate the floral motifs and center in the middle of the star blocks to emphasize the overall design.

A Needle Runs Through It provided the machine quilting. They used concentric swirls to balance the straight lines of this geometric pattern. Also, notice how the wavy stripe used in the inner border produces another wonderful point of balance to the design. Binding the quilt in black keeps all of the focus on the intricate look of the overall design.
