Terry and Liz met almost 20 years ago at the Southport Quilters Guild in Kenosha, Wisconsin and soon became partners in a custom quilting business. They sold quilts and quilted clothing at art fairs and craft shows for several years. When Terry moved to Minnesota they continued their friendship long distance.
Liz owned and operated the Quilt Emporium in East Troy, Wisconsin from 1997 to 2004 and she has been lecturing and teaching for a dozen years. She served on the board of the Wisconsin quilters and has been collecting antique quilts, tops and fabrics for many years. She is the author of the Nearly Insane quilt book, which is no reflection on her. She currently travels the roads of Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan as a sales rep for a quilting and sewing distributor. Liz has three grown children and five grandsons.
Terry began her pattern business, Atkinson designs, 13 years ago by publishing her most requested class handouts. Since then she has written 15 books and designed over 25 quilt patterns including her best selling “Yellow Brick Road”. Terry always has new projects in the works, and her favorite quilt is always the one she is just starting. She enjoys scrapbooking and collecting old and new Fiesta dinnerware. Terry has a teenage daughter and a son in college. Visit Terry’s website at www.atkinsondesigns.com

They have collaborated once again to bring us a delightful follow-up collection, Neutral Territory. Prints with loads of pizzazz are offered in rich shades of turquoise, honey gold and cinnamon red.
