Pearl P. Pereira

Pearl has been sewing since she was six years old, teaching herself to embroider, crochet, tat, and smock. She received her first real sewing machine at the age of twelve, and has been sewing ever since. Pearl replaced the motor on her first sewing machine three times before she was sixteen!

After making clothing for thirty years, she discovered quilting in 1991, and began teaching quilting a few years later. Pearl started her P3 Designs pattern company in 1995 and has been publishing her original designs since then. Because of her passion for appliqué, and desire to share her methods with others, she filmed her first video Appliqué with Pearl in 2000, followed by Appliqué Techniques with Pearl in 2006. Additionally, she manufactures and sells her own appliqué products, including the Appliqué & Pressing Tool and Ultimate Appliqué Template Paper.

Pearl designed the patterns for our Simply Spooky and Simply Spooky 2 collections. Little Red Riding Hood is her first fabric collection for Red Rooster.
