Terri of Whimsicals designed, pieced, and quilted this 60" x 60" lap or wall quilt. It features pieced snowflake and snowball blocks that finish at 8". The prints in the rich, deep color palette that Terri loves and the wide ”We Can Build a Snowman“ border stripe make this the perfect project to stitch for the holidays or winter season. To finish, try quilting in the ditch between the borders and around the blocks and finish with cross-hatching across the blocks or do a simple meandering stitch. Embellish the centers of the snowball blocks with buttons, tied or sewn on with floss or pearl cotton in a contrasting color. Update the look with sparkling crystals sprinkled on the border stripe. Or, make a table runner with three to five blocks and add the border stripe along each side. Easier still, simply stitch together nine blocks and bind for a quick 24" square wall hanging or tablemat.
