Card Trick blocks are featured in this 54" x 54" throw size quilt, wall hanging, or table topper that was designed and pieced by Whimsicals and machine quilted by Kathy Dye. The blocks finish at 9" and are made from half-square triangles. To make sure the four "cards" in each block are distinct, Whimsicals suggests that you refer to the quilt photo and make one block at a time, laying it out next to your sewing machine so you can reposition the fabric combinations before sewing. Quilt assembly is easy and there's a good assembly diagram to guide you. Most of the quilting can be a quick stitch in the ditch along the sashing and borders. You might want to try cross hatching the card trick blocks and finishing with a little stippling or free motion design in the setting triangles.
