Ricky designed, made, and machine quilted this stunning 70" x70" contemporary quilt. Full size templates are provided for the two curved designs that are fused in place and then machine quilted to the background blocks. Ricky recommends using a stabilizer under the appliqué for smooth, beautiful stitches. For this quilt, he used both a blanket and a double blanket stitch. He also recommends that you match the top and bobbin threads and gives several more good tips for machine appliqué. You will need threads in assorted colors for machine quilting. The blue border surrounding the center panel provides the perfect area for you to show off your machine quilting skills and add a little sparkle with metallic threads!
